Painting a bird house

Jadyn's Grandma got her a "paint it yourself" bird house for Christmas. Jadyn is a very artsy and crafty kind of girl. There isn't much she loves more than a mess making craft. She LOVES paint, playdoh, markers, stickers, glue, sparkly things to glue to paper. She could spend all day doing things like this if I had the time and energy to clean up after her all day.........
Here are some photos of her painting her little birdhouse. We are going to put some kind of weather proof clear coat on it and get it on the porch for spring. Maybe a little birdie family will move in :-)

Jadynism

Lastnight for dinner we had spaghetti. I was putting the spaghetti away after dinner and I dumped the hot sauce over the noodles. Jadyn kept trying to stick her fingers in the container to grab a noodle. Of course, I yelled at her a million times telling her it is hot.
Finally at one point I firmly said:
"Jadyn, knock it off. That is very hot. If you want some noodles I will put some more on a plate for you. STOP being a turkey."
At this point Jadyn exclaimed:
"Mommy, I am NOT a turkey. I am a child."

It's about time.........

Jadyn has finally decided that the potty is not so bad! Tuesday Night she requested she take her diaper off and wear underwear. She hasn't had ONE accident since. She has even slept 3 nights in underwear. She will not poop in the potty though. We ended up putting a diaper on her yesterday for a little bit and she did a little poop but I think she is holding her poop. So, yesterday we bought her some pedia-lax. I hope that helps! She is of course back in her underwear.

Oh Happy Day!

Jadyn is feeling much better today. She actually started feeling better yesterday after she puked her guts out and then had dry heaves afterwards for a few hours. She then fell asleep for 3 hours and woke up feeling better. She did still look a little pale. She didn't eat the best yesterday either. That is to be expected for someone that was ill that morning. I don't suppose I would want a feast either.

Yuck!!

What day!!! Jadyn woke up this morning vomiting, the poor kid. She went the first 3 yrs of her life hardly being sick and now she's making up for it. In the past 2 weeks she's been sicker than she's ever been :-(It's strange when Jadyn gets hurt she wants mommy, but when she's sick she wants moma. I wonder why? I'm not complaining though...lol It's good to feel wanted and needed by your baby when she's not feeling well. Plus, it allows for some quality snuggle and cuddle time between vomiting spells....lol

Jadyn's new roller blades

Jadyn hasn't seen her Grandpa Dan, Grandma Candy or Grandma Dorothy since before her birthday. We went to see them on Saturday and Jadyn got some roller blades from them that was for her birthday. She has learned to put them on and take them off by herself. We have hardwood in our kitchen and dining area. Jadyn knows there is NO WAY she can do that floor by herself. I will be sitting at my computer ( in the dining area) and all of the sudden I see a little person crawl by me....lmao She drops to the floor and crawls whenever she has to come this way. It is so funny!!!

She is good on the carpets by herself. She gets to roll a little but not to much :-)

Halloween

In the morning I put Jadyn's shirt on from Grandma and hair spray colored her hair purple. She thought she was the cat's meow.......
Later that night we went to Aunt Lisa's to trick or treat.:

Moma and Jadyn conversation

Tonight we went to the Pizza place for dinner because we are in the process of moving and we have all our stuff packed. So, when we left we took our drinks with us. We get in the car and Jadyn insists she Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddds a hot chocolate from Timmy's. We go to Timmy's and get our hot drinks. When we are at the window waiting Jadyn says:
" Where is my drink?"
Moma: " We haven't got it yet."
Jadyn: " NO, Where is MY Drink?"
Moma" "Jay, we are still waiting for the people to give it to us."
Jadyn " NO, MY pop drink from dinner?"
Moma: "OH, it's right here."
Jadyn: " Jesus Christ."

I would like to say I didn't laugh but I DID.....lol She just said it at the most perfect time. It was hilarious!!

Apple Festival

Over the past weekend we went to my mom's house for the day on Sunday. Every year there is an apple festival. They have a long line of tents full of crafts people are selling. Of course, you want to stop and buy everything you see. At the end of the crafts they have a big open area. There you can buy fresh pies, cider, bags of apples, candy apples, homemade goods and anything else made out of apples. Jadyn ended up getting a bag of cotton candy, a toy that has flaps and when you push it the little flaps make a smacking sound on the ground and a water balloon yoyo. She also had her face painted like a pink and purple butterfly. Between 4 of us we split nachos and a Bloomin' Onion. We still couldn't finish all of it. It was a great day

Trauma at dance class......

Today we went to dance class and Annie wasn't there yet. So, Jadyn wanted to wait for her. We went downstairs and got Jadey ready for class. The teacher was starting to gather the children. I took Jadyn over to her class and stood there a minute to make sure she was going to be okay. As I turn around to go upstairs to wait here come Annie and Kelly ( Annie's Mommy). Kelly had forgot Annie's shoes. She got Annie settled in class and told Annie she would be right back with her shoes. I decided to stay downstairs hidden from the girls but close enough that I could watch Annie and Jadyn. All of the sudden I hear wailing. I peek around the corner and Annie is in tears. Then I hear Jadyn frantically yell "Mommy, Come here". Jadyn's little face wrinkled up and she started to bawl!!! So, Kelly is gone and I have two bawling three year olds....lol I sat on a chair in the hall rocking and swaying and hushing both of the girls. Jadyn really didn't even know why she was crying.....lol....she was just crying because Annie was crying. She is a very sympathetic little chic. A few minutes later Kelly shows up and Annie immediately stops crying. It was like magic. Not Jadyn though, no way, she was all worked up over nothing! I couldn't talk her in to going back in to the class for a nothing. So, we played outside on the steps for a little while after a 10 minute melt down and then we came home. Jadyn gets traumatized a little to easily....lol
I guess we will see what next week brings. She keeps telling me she doesn't want to go back. I hope she is over it by next week.

Big Foot's Daughter???

I do believe my child's donor may quite possibly be Big Foot. When we went to Walmart the other day I decided I better get Jadyn a pair of cheap sneakers for now because she had out grown her Nike's quite rapidly. When I measured her foot it was a 9.5! I had to buy her a size 10 shoe. A size 10?? Geez Louise, the next size and she is in kids shoes instead of toddler!!

Ballet Class

Jadyn seems to be enjoying her Ballet/Dance classes. She was throwing a fit about going this week. Yelling about not wanting to go. Her problem was really that she was angry about something else...... who knows what. Once we got there she was so excited. Especially once we saw Annie. The parents aren't allowed to watch the children when they are in class. Miss Whiteway told us she has a hard time keeping the children's attention when the parents are present. Which makes total sense seeing as though it is a class of 3 and 4 year olds.....lol They are all so cute prancing around in their cute pink leotards, tights and ballet slippers.

I am also thinking about enrolling Jadyn in a gymnastics class. She would be in a what they call "Little Flippers" . I think it is a class for 3-5 year olds. I am still debating.

Jadyn's 3 year appointment

She is doing well and ahead of the game. The Dr. would like to see a little weight come off or not much more of a gain. We are having her weighed again in November. We are a little dumb founded as to why she is gaining weight so quickly. She has gained 15 pounds in a year!!! She doesn't really like and or eat much junk food. She doesn't get sugary drinks and her juices are diluted with water. She eats all the food groups and really doesn't eat much at all. I guess we will see what happens in the next few months.

Here is a quick conversation about the paci addiction we had with the pediatrician:

Me: "Jadn is still taking her paci."

Dr Braun: " I think it is time for you to give your paci's to a baby that needs them. You are getting to be a big girl now."

Jadyn:"NOPE, NO, NOPE!"

I guess we see where that idea stands.....lol

Dance Class

I signed Jadyn up for dance classes. They start next Tuesday at 3:30. I have to buy her a pink leotard, pink slippers and pink tights. She is going to look so darn cute. Jadyn's BFF Annie is starting dance class too. Jadyn will LOVE going to class with Annie. I can't wait to get photos of them in there little suits.....lol I hope Jadyn loves it!!

The Skinny Dipper

Potty Training Day 3

The worst......Jadyn had spent most of her day crying. She is just so mad that I won't let her have a diaper on during the day. After a fit that lasted well over an hour and a puking session I let her have a diaper. Potty training is not supposed to be like this. I am not going to have her being miserable all day every day. I guess we are just going to go without diapers at home and any time we go out she can have a diaper. She has a terrible time performing outside of the house. The potty's are to big and the toilets are too loud when you flush them. Jadyn did so well the first day. I don't understand why she is going back in time so far. She just wants nothing to do with the Potty again!

Potty Training Day #2

Not so good. When Jadyn got up this morning she sat on the potty with NO results. I put her in the shower with me like 2 HOURS later. She then decided that would be a great time to go pee. So, we went over to a friends house. As soon as we got there I took Jadyn to the potty and nothing. 5 minutes later she has an accident. So, I change her clothes. We took the kids outside and Annie showed Jadyn how to pee on the grass....lol Well, Jadyn did just fine with that. She LOVED peeing on the grass. I didn't really mind. She was having fun....lol We left our friends house at about 3:00. It is now almost 8:00 and Jadyn WILL NOT use the potty. I have tried a million times. She isn't asking me for a diaper but she will not use the potty at all!!! She sits down but just will not go. I am thinking she might have to go poop so she is holding every thing?!?!? Now I see why people give in and just let them have a diaper. This is frustrating.

Potty Update......

First time peeing on the potty was at about 11:50 a.m. HORRAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

We have had 3 pee pee's on the potty so far today. Of course, now that she is kind of getting the hang of things she likes to sit on the potty every 5 minutes.....lol Jadyn and I even took a little outing today to pick out some more underwear at Target and we went to the grocery store. Jadyn did all of this in her BIG GIRL underwear. What a Big Girl :-)

OH MY GOSH..............

This morning after Jadyn informed me she needed a diaper change because she had pee pee and poo poo I informed her no more diapers until night night time. She can tell me when she is peeing or pooping in her diaper. She has been able to tell me that for quite some time though. Well this morning when I threatened her for the 3 millionth time she actually agreed with me that she wanted to wear BIG GIRL underwear. I couldn't believe it!!!

So as of about 8:30 a.m Jadyn has had underwear on. She has also sat on the potty 2 times!!! No results yet, but I am sure we are bound to have a result sooner or later :-) I am trating her with a sticker every time she sits down. Once she starts to "get it" I will only reward her when she goes. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy for Jadyn!!!!!!

I Love You this Much!!

As Jadyn and I were talking she says " Mommy, I LOve you this little bit." as she barely holds her pointer finger and thumb apart. So I said " Well, How much do you Love Moma?" She opened her arms as wide as her little arms would stretch open and she says " I LOVE MOMA THIS MUCH."

Camp Rock

Today I took Jadyn to Rochester with me to do a photo session. Aunt Mary Kate, Kathryn and Anna came to my photo session to pick Jadyn up for a few hours so she could go play with Kathryn. ( I was doing photos for a friend of their's) Jadyn's cousin Kathryn and her are only 7 months apart and they are so cute together. They really get along great! So, at 12:00 they had to take Kathryn to "Camp" at the Y. On the way home I was questionaing Jadyn about what her and Kathryn did today.

Me:" Jadyn, did you take Kathryn to class?"
Jadyn: "No Mom, It was Camp."
Me: Oh, I'm sorry. Did you go in to see Kathryn's Camp?"
Jadyn " Yeah Mom, It's NOT Camp Rock. It was just camp."

Jadyn has been at my mom's since Wednesday night. She went to spend some time with Grandma because of some medical procedures I had to have done. She is coming home in a few hours. YAY!!!! Of course, I have to call her a million times a day when she isn't home. Grandma and Papa took Jadyn to the Fair. She informed me she had cotton candy, popcorn, a pretzel and Pepsi. She thinks that cotton candy is the best thing in the world. After a few minutes of talking to her she says " Mommy, come to grandma's and hug and kiss me."

Swollen eye

Today we went to my Dr. As Jadyn and I are sitting there waiting to be called back Jadyn says" Mommy! LOOK at me!" I said " What Honey?" She says" My eye is ALL swollen.".........lmao. Her eye looks perfectly normal to me.....lol Then she proceeded to tell me her ankles were swollen too.......

Yesterday, we were sitting here eating some of the bread, dip and cheese from Jadyn's Party. Jadyn says " Eesa ( Aunt Lisa) brought that for me." as she pointed to the bread. I said "Yup, and Grandma brought the cheese." Jadyn then tells me " My Grandma is SO smart!".......lol

Strong Museum of Play

On Jadyn's Birthday we went to Strong Museum of Play in Rochester. We met up with Jadyn's BFF Annie, her mommy, and her little brother Tommy. With them also came Jadyn's friend Finn and Annie and Tommy's Nanny/Sitter, Nicole. When we got there we had lunch because we knew once we got the kids out in the play areas there would be no way we could pull them away to eat. We were there for about 4 hours and we still missed quite a bit. The kids were all cranky, mean and tired by the time we left.....

Happy Birthday Sister!!!

Today my baby girl is 3!!! She woke up to the Smartcycle all assembled and reasy to go! Every time we go in Toys R Us she runs to the smart cycle and we cannot get her off of it!! Her favorite game is the "frog game". She has to catch the letters to spell words. Of course, she has no idea what she is spelling but she has a good time doing it.....lolAt 12:00 we are taking Jadyn to the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester. We took her there once about 1.5 years ago. She was still a bit small for it. I am sure this time she will have a BLAST!!! They have a little mini Wegmans with tiny little check outs...... it is of course, pretend food.... We are meeting Jadyn's BFF (haha) Annie and her little brother Tommy up there. Jadyn and Annie are so cute together. Jadyn really enjoys spending time with them.Jadyn's party is Sunday August 3rd at 1:00. We can't wait. We are SO excited!!!!

Canal Fest 2008

On Saturday we took Jadyn to the Canal Fest. She had so much fun. We ate cheeseburgers, cotton candy and kettle corn. Jadyn rode the "Quadzilla" ride 2 times with Moma. The "Quadzilla" are these little Doom Buggies that go around a track. She LOVED them. Jadyn and Mommy went down the BIG Fun Slide. Jadyn started giggling when we got to the end. Jadyn also rode the ponies TWO times. Both times she rode on "Charlie Brown". The first time we paid for the cowgirl hat and a picture. The second time she just rode. Jadyn also played a fishing game and won a little stuffed husky dog. She wasn't in to the games nearly as much as she was in to the rides and walking around observing everything. Jadyn also had her face painted by a clown. She got a pink and green butterfly. She then got her photo taken with the clown. We were at the Canal Fest for 4 hours. Little Miss Busy Pants fell asleep in the stroller on the way home. ( We walk to the canal fest, it is only about a mile from our house).
